With the most complete catalogue of recordings and titles in all musical genres, the Universal Music Group discovers and develops artists, produces and distributes critically acclaimed and commercially successful music worldwide.

Keen on strengthening its positioning and its leadership, Universal Music wants to invite music fans to listen to a variety of its songs. 

Universal Music thus called on Gamned! to meet this challenge.

But how do you do that?

In order to meet is objective, Gamned!’s strategy was set up around 3 mains actions : 

  • The segmentation was wisely chosen around thematic, context and customer behavior, to be able to gather people with an interest in music and entertainment.
  • The campaign was also executed with display banners (55%) and Youtube videos (45%) on desktop and mobile, to reach potential listeners on brandsafe websites.
  • 7 different IAB banner formats, as well as 2 videos promoting the playlists were created for this campaign, highlighting Universal Music’s brand image to make it visible and recognizable.
Verdict?
THE SUCCESS OF INNOVATION

A success (of course!)

The campaign results were measured with clicks and views to give an overview of the efficiency of the plan. Results? In less than a month, the Universal Music Group was able to reach a large range of people while minimizing costs, CPC and CPCV costs being below the initial goal.
